Systematics, Biogeography and Ecology

This book presents the current state of knowledge on the taxonomy, systematics,
general biology, ecology and biogeography of the rodents from 6 countries of 
Sahelo-Sudanian West Africa. 
It also summarizes their relationships with humans, their role as pests for agriculture
and public health, and proposes advices for the management of their population
(rodent control).

This book has been elaborated from data collected by the various teams of IRD 
specialists and their colleagues and collaborators mostly from the years 1960-70 to 2010.

The illustrations proposed are the French and English abstracts, the detailed content,
excerpts presenting pictures and the species' identity card structure
of the book as well as the electronic copy of the book itself (5Mo)
